Supporting practitioners to integrate sound awareness into lived, real-world practice through playing, responsive exploration, and guided application
This pathway supports the transition from foundational learning into lived, applied practice.
Designed for practitioners who have completed Level 1 Sound for Wellbeing, it provides space to deepen confidence, understanding and experience through integration, reflection and supported practice.
Rather than focusing on acquiring additional techniques, the emphasis is on how sound is played, experienced and responded to within real-world contexts — personally, professionally and in relation to others.
It offers a structured yet flexible bridge between foundation training and further practitioner development, including progression towards diploma-level study where appropriate.
Mentoring supports the development of awareness, discernment, confidence and sensitivity in how sound is played, experienced and responded to within personal and professional contexts.
This includes:
Noticing subtle changes in people, environment, and response
Working with pacing, uncertainty, and real-time decision-making
Developing confidence in how and when sound is used
The focus is on deepening understanding through direct experience, rather than adding techniques or prescriptive methods.
The emphasis remains grounded in listening, awareness, reflection and responsive practice, with sessions shaped around real-world application and practitioner development.
A focused series of sessions supporting the early integration of learning into personal or professional practice.
Suitable for those beginning to apply sound awareness and seeking confidence, clarity and direction.
Extended support for practitioners wishing to deepen confidence, consistency and applied understanding through ongoing reflection and guided development.
Suitable for those already beginning to integrate sound and who would benefit from additional guidance, practice and reflective support.
Mentoring may take place in person or online, depending on what is most appropriate.
Details, availability, and pricing are shared following initial enquiry to ensure the most appropriate option is offered.
Mentoring is shaped around each practitioner's experience, interests and area of application. Areas of focus may include:

Developing awareness, discernment and confidence through reflection on real-world experiences and application.
Preparing for progression into diploma-level study through supported practice, discussion and integration of learning.
Mentoring remains flexible and may be shaped around individual interests, professional context and stage of development.
Mentoring may also be offered on a bespoke basis for individuals or small groups working within specific professional contexts or settings.
This work is shaped around the environment, role, or group context in which sound is being introduced, and may involve a greater level of preparation, guidance, and ongoing support.

“My one-to-one sessions with Tessa were instrumental in building my confidence in using sound within my existing offerings. The sessions were so much more than sound — they supported reflection, clarity, and trust in my own process. Each session felt tailored, grounded, and deeply supportive.”
