At TESSA UN Ltd, learning with sound is offered as a progressive, listening-led journey rather than a fixed or linear training route.
Each pathway supports practitioners to develop awareness, discernment, and responsibility in relation to sound, with progression guided by readiness, reflection, and ethical scope rather than automatic advancement.
Professional Scope & Insurance Notice
All courses offered by TESSA UN Ltd support reflective professional development and learning through sound. Participants are responsible for ensuring that any integration of learning aligns with their existing role, scope of practice, organisational policies, safeguarding frameworks, and insurance requirements.
Where applicable, CPD certification may be added to an existing public liability insurance policy, subject to the terms and approval of the individual insurer.
Foundational | Exploratory | Listening-Led
Level 1 courses introduce sound as a relational and sensory experience, supporting practitioners to develop listening, awareness, and discernment.
The focus is on how sound is perceived, played, and responded to — personally and within wellbeing contexts — without training facilitation, intervention, or therapeutic application.
Level 1 is suitable as reflective professional development and does not qualify participants to practise as therapeutic sound practitioners.
Participants may integrate their learning into their existing professional or personal practice in ways that align with their current role, scope of practice, and organisational or professional guidelines.
Where appropriate, this CPD certification may be added to an existing public liability insurance policy, subject to the terms and requirements of the individual insurer.
Selective | Relational | Facilitated
Level 2 study supports practitioners who have completed foundational listening-led learning and wish to deepen embodied, relational engagement with sound.
This work explores intentional playing, response-based facilitation, and ethical responsibility when working with individuals or groups.
Level 2 is offered as bespoke CPD or mentoring by enquiry and mutual agreement.
It is not a public enrolment course and does not guarantee progression to diploma-level training.
Professional Qualification | Assessed | Practitioner-Level
The Level 3 Diploma is designed for those who wish to practise as Therapeutic Sound Practitioners, working responsibly with individuals and groups.
This training includes:
practitioner-level skill development
ethical facilitation and scope of practice
supervised learning and assessment
readiness for professional and insurable practice
Entry is subject to prerequisites and suitability assessment.
Completion of Level 1 (or an equivalent foundation) is required, alongside readiness to undertake practitioner responsibility.
Progression through pathways is guided by listening, reflection, and professional integrity — not by hierarchy or speed.
